Meditate on Proverbs 19

Proverbs 19:17, "He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done." (NIV)

There are numerous passages in the Bible concerning the poor. God is very much interested to help the poor. You and I are the means God uses. The poorest of the poor in U. S. is still in better shape than the poor in some parts of the world today. We need to be the Christ-like disciples that follow God's teaching to be kind to the poor in deed.

For example, the victims of the recent earthquake in Sichuan, China would desperately need our financial support to rebuild their lives. You May bring your special offering to our church this Sunday and designate it for such purpose.

God has promised that we will be repaid for what we do for the poor. You can bet that He will pay you back, and you can never out give God.
