Ezekiel 47

August 26, 2010 - Enjoyment In The Holy Land

Meditation on Ezekiel 47

During the Millennium period, spectacular things would happen at the new temple of Palestine. Ezekiel said that living water would flow out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east. At first it was a trickle. But later it would become a stream and eventually grow to be a mighty river flowing toward the Dead Sea. This living water will revive the Dead Sea and make it able to sustain sea life. There will be trees and fruits growing along the river on both sides. The fruits will be for food and the leaves will be for healing.

The most amazing thing is this: The enjoyment of all this river, the fruits and the whole land is to be shared by all other believers who settled among the Israelites. Speaking concerning the aliens and their children, Ezekiel said, "And they shall be to you as the native-born among the sons of Israel; they shall be allotted an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel." (v. 22 NASB) The holy land will be enjoyed by all worshippers of the Messiah. God is interested for all believers to share His goodness and provision.

Praise Him!
